California Reunion

Event Date:
Saturday, January 7, 2012 - 14:30

We had a great luncheon on August 29th - Jane Scudder Turnley and her husband Howard joined my family in San Francisco for lunch, conversation, and a 'conference call' with members of the members of the Scudder Association board. Scudder Stevens gave us an overview of the associations activities and goals, Megan Willis told us about the early planning for a Scudder Association Centenary, and Scudder Stevens II gave us a cooks tour of the the website (scudder.org).
We also had several documents to share (newsletters, and information about the upcoming Baltimore reunion). Georgia Whitson, our Family Historian sent a great note about California research, and the activities of California members of the association. Among other things, it points out that there was a California presence of the Scudder Association in the 1930s (I bet my uncle, Hubert Scudder, was involved in that).
Scudder Stevens used notes from his acceptance speech from a year ago as the foundation for introducing us to the association.
Thanks to Scudder, Scudder II, Megan, Georgia, and to Jenny Scudder who made sure that I had the latest newsletter and other documents to share.
We look forward to doing this again.
