I quote here from that introduction: "The old Bible was printed in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1765, was bought in Elizabeth, New Jersey, in 1776, and was presented to the New Jersey Historical Society in December, 1930, by Miss Mary A. Summers, of Milburn, New Jersey, a member of the Scudder family."
